Milton Whitley

Milton Whitley, age 88, of Okolona passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Southern Trace Rehabilitation and Care Center in Bryant.   He was born September 18, 1935 in Caney, Arkansas to the late Guy and Rellie Whitley.  Milton retired from Elk Horn Bank and Trust as a bookkeeper.  He was an avid gardener and enjoyed listening to southern gospel music.  Milton was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Wilma (Wrinkle) Whitley; brothers, C.D. Whitley, Dean Whitley, and Lyndle Whitley; sister, Bernice Smith, Charlotte Francis, Delphine Wright, and Earnestine Franklin.

Left to cherish Milton’s memory are daughter, Debbie Whitley of Okolona; son, Denny Whitley of Bryant; brothers, Marlon Whitley and Don Whitley, both of Malvern; and sister, Earlene Phillips of Oklahoma.

Visitation will be 9:00-10:00 a.m., prior to the service.   Funeral services are 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 1, 2024 at Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel in Arkadelphia with Brother Travis Langley and Brother Rusty Jones officiating.  

Burial will follow at Dobyville Cemetery in Okolona. 

 Pallbearers are Milton’s nephews and family friends.
