Linda Jo Arnold, 59, of Sherwood, from the Cato Community, passed away Friday, April 22, 2011. She was of the Baptist Faith. She worked and owned her own shop of Cosmetology and also worked at several shops in the Little Rock area since 1970. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, drawing, painting, and gardening. She also enjoyed traveling with Doug on his motorcycle.
She is survived by her very special friend and caregiver, Doug Thorpe, of Cato; daughter, Stacy Powers, of Little Rock; son, Taylor Arnold, of Cato; step-son, Larry Arnold Jr. and wife, Patty, of San Diego, California; two step-daughters, Margaret Griffin and Lisa Autry, of Little Rock; two grandchildren, Stanley and Ryan Bullock, of Little Rock; three sisters, Peggy Card and husband, Dennis, of Conway, Martha White and husband, John, of Beebe, and Sheila Shearer, of Cato; two brothers, Wayne Shearer and wife, Gena, and Troy Shearer, all of Conway; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Troy Wayne Shearer; and mother and step-father, Maxine and James Sims.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Monday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com
