Susan Jane (Henson) Brown joined her Heavenly Father on December 30, 2012. Born on December 16, 1938, Susan was the daughter of the late Mildred (Burks) Henson and Raymond (Keg) Henson and is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Henson. She was the mother of daughters, Deborah Scott (John Morgan) and Karen Brown; grandmother of, Meagan Scott and Brittany Scott, an aunt to Sally Davis and Kyle Henson; a cousin to many, a friend to all, and most recently a great grandmother to her great grandson, Calem.
Susan graduated North Little Rock High School in 1956 and went on to attend Henderson State University. While she raised two daughters she was a very active member of Amboy Methodist, Gardner Memorial, and Morningstar choir. After 32 years with RJ Reynolds, Susan was able to retire where she spent her time being a member of Red Hat's Society, Walter's Seekers Class, and North Little Rock First United Methodist Church.
Although Alzheimer's ended her time here on earth early, she was able to spend her time at home thanks to a special caregiver, Lyndie McPherson, and her final days with her family by her side. Susan was known for her sense of humor and love for the Lord. Visitation will be at North Little Rock Funeral Home Thursday, January 3, 6 p.m and funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, January 4, at North Little Rock First United Methodist and Interment will follow at Rest Hills. Memorials may be made to North Little Rock First United Methodist Church or Arkansas Alzheimer's Assoc. Arrangements provided by North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170.
