Myrtle Kirkland
Myrtle "Aunt Mat" Kirkland, 92, of Little Rock passed away Thursday, December 23, 2010. She was a retired Post Master and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, AARP and Pulaski County Mounted Patrol. She was generous and service minded towards her community and loved her animals.
She is survived by two sisters, Doris Hallum and Shirley Gentry, both of Little Rock; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Pine Grove Baptist Church, 2504 E. Dixon Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72206.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday in the North Little Rock Funeral Home. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest registry at www.nlrfh.com.
