N. Mathis

N. Juanita Mathis, 93, of Jacksonville passed away Friday, February 22, 2019. She was born September 24, 1925 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Albert and Dolly Pearl Lanford.

She was a member of Highway Baptist Church and the Telephone Pioneers of America.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Simmons, Jack Mathis (Timothy Buckles), Billy Mathis (Cindy); grandchildren, Stephanie Giunta (Joe), Melissa Foss (Steve) and Breanna Simmons (Andy); great-grandchildren, Christian Giunta, Christopher Foss, Sarah Foss, Johnathan Foss, Jaci Simmons, Gabriel Young; great-great-grandson, Kyler Geary and numerous extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, John Martin; her sisters, Ophelia Ison and Phyllis Martin; husband, Billy “Babe” Mathis; son-in-law, Frankie Simmons; and great-grandson, Aaron Geary.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Edgewood Memorial Park in North Little Rock.
