Nancy Victoria Fincher, age 87, of Beebe, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joe Donald Fincher, her brother, Huey, who is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; her brother, James, and his wife, Jane; her brother, Bobby, who is survived by his wife, Martha; and her sister, Narvie, and her husband, Clarence.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelli, her husband, Albert, and their son, John; her son, Wade, his wife, Sarah, and their son, Benjamin, her brother, Charles, and his wife, Kay, and her sister, Linda.
Nancy was a person who never met a stranger. She had a remarkable ability to talk comfortably with anyone, regardless of their background or walk of life, and she made people feel welcome and at ease. She was deeply involved in her children’s lives as they grew up, and her home became a gathering place for the neighborhood children. Her house was the place where all the kids wanted to be, a reflection of the warmth, openness, and generosity that came so naturally to her.
Nancy was perhaps best known for her cooking. Her family especially remembers her chocolate pie, banana pudding, soft-fried potatoes, roast beef and gravy over rice, and other dishes that made her house feel like home. She was perhaps best known for her cornbread, a recipe that her family was never quite able to master.
Nancy was also known for her green thumb. She could grow trees from sticks, plants from flowers, and bushes from leaves. If it was, or ever had been, green, Nancy could make it bloom. She always kept many flower beds going around her house and is best known for the huge number of rose bushes that surrounded her house, many of which can now be found around the house of her son.
After her children graduated from high school, Nancy and Joe opened SatelVision, a satellite installation business in Beebe. The business later became the Beebe Radio Shack, where Nancy and Joe worked together until their retirement.
