Nancy H. Perritt

Nancy was born in Springhill and passed away in Little Rock at the age of 79 years. Nancy is healed and in the arms of Jesus. Our hearts are at peace as she is now in heaven. She grew up in Springhill and remained lifelong friends with many she met as a child. After marriage, she moved to Arcadia where she spent the majority of her life. Nancy worked at Laurens Glass for many years and genuinely loved her work family. After retirement, she moved to Little Rock and enjoyed volunteering in nursing homes and hospice facilities. She always had a tender spot for all animals and would let you know in no uncertain terms how she felt if you mistreated one.

The family would like to offer their sincerest appreciation to all the special people that took care of Nancy at St. Vincent, Hospice Home Care and her precious neighbors. What a blessing it was for her friends and neighbors to help her stay home with her beloved four-legged companion, Baby Girl.

Visitation will be held at Alabama Baptist Church, Arcadia, LA on Saturday, September 23rd from 2:00 – 3:30 pm. As requested by Nancy, there will be no memorial service.

Nancy is preceded in death by son, Robert Carroll Perritt, sister, Reba H. Sellers, her parents, JB and Mildred Hughes, and the father of her children, Bobby R. Perritt. She is survived by daughter, Kathy Slocum and husband Ken, sister and brother in law, Edie and Robert Woodard, brother in law, Nelson Sellers; grandchildren, Kenny and wife Melane, Jake and wife Sarah Slocum, and great grandchildren, Eli, Andy and Jack Slocum; special nieces and nephews, Tonia Sellers, TeRan Book, Becky Holtzclaw, Tony Woodard and Larry Woodard. Nancy had a special relationship with her cousins as she always thought of them as brothers and sisters rather than cousins. Nancy also considered Ray, Amanda and Lathon Roberson as her family.
