Nancy Kathryn Price, 80, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on October 25, 2025. She was born on June 17, 1945 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to the late Theodore and Cecilia Girard.
Nancy was a devoted wife, mom, and grandmother. Her greatest joy was her family — her husband, Robert “Bob” Price; her sons, Jamie (Julie) and Mike (Shannon); and her granddaughter, Emma, who meant the world to her.
Nancy grew up in Fort Smith and attended St. Boniface School and St. Scholastica Academy, graduating in 1963. Her love story with her husband, Bob, began long before their wedding day—when they first met in kindergarten at St. Boniface. The two grew up together and reconnected during their freshman year of college, turning that reunion into a lifelong partnership. Nancy later attended the University of Arkansas in Fort Smith, always valuing learning and curiosity. She and Bob were married on October 12, 1968, and together built a life filled with love, laughter, and wonderful memories.
She was an avid reader—she loved a good mystery novel, trying new recipes in the kitchen, and spending time with the people she loved most. Nancy also enjoyed keeping her mind sharp with crossword puzzles and word searches. The holidays were her favorite time of year, when she filled her home with memories and good food. One memory her family holds dear is when she helped her daughter-in-law, Shannon, find the perfect wedding dress — a moment that showed just how thoughtful and caring she was. She loved traveling, especially to Italy and cruising along the Panama Canal and to Alaska. While her sons were in school, Nancy volunteered on the PTO at Terry Elementary, Franklin Middle School and Central High School.
She taught her sons to be kind, polite, and to never lose their sense of humor. Nancy believed life was better when you didn’t take it too seriously — and she lived that way every day, filling her home with laughter and love.
Nancy will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her love, humor, and gentle spirit will live on in her family’s hearts and in the memories of everyone lucky enough to have known her.
Donations may be made in Nancy’s memory to the Central Arkansas Library Foundation.
