Nancy J Whitman

Nancy J. Whitman passed  away on October 2, 2026.

In her professional life, Nancy worked as a medical consultant. Beyond her work, she found joy in many simple and meaningful pursuits. She loved to spend her time in the garden, enjoyed baking all kinds of delicious treats for the family, and especially loved chocolate, with Whitman chocolate holding a special place among her favorites. She also enjoyed the pleasures of scuba diving and, in her younger years, traveling to new places. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family, which remained one of the great pleasures of her life.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Michael H. Whitman; her parents, Jack Griffith and Joyce Griffith; and her children, Michael J. Whitman and Mark E. Whitman.

She is survived by her brother, Dan (Karen) Griffith; her sisters, Carol (Greg) Chapman and Jaynece (Pat) Tekippe; her grandson, Michael (Kirsten) Whitman; and her great-grandchildren, Brooks, Piper, and Nora Whitman. May their memories of Nancy, and the love they shared with her, bring comfort and peace in the days ahead.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Smith Family Funeral Home - Hot Springs, 2205 Airport Road, Hot Springs, Arkansas 71913.
