Naomi Jeanne Fearno, 81, of Little Rock, formerly of Mena, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Baptist Health surrounded by her family. She was born September 7, 1931 to Jody and Ruby Little. She spent most of her childhood in the Mena/Opal area. She was baptized in the First Christian Church.
A known beauty, she was crowned "Engineering Queen" while attending college at Magnolia A&M. In November, 1954 she was united in marriage with Joseph Barnett Fearno. Her Joe was the love of her life. She cherished her family and her Corey Dog, and, with her decorator eye, she always made sure her home looked beautiful. She was so proud of her granddaughters, Cara and Chloe.
Naomi was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Major Joseph Barnett Fearno, USAF; her daughter, Susan Kay Fearno; and her brother, Blake Little. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Karen Jeanne and Stephen Baris and Cindy and Steve Uhrynowycz, all of Little Rock; two granddaughters, Cara Uhrynowycz and Chloe Uhrynowycz; sisters, Mary Little and JoAnn Stewman; brother and sister-in-law, JD and Virginia Little; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander, officiated by Rev. Erik Pohlmeier. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Pulaski County, 14600 Colonel Glenn Rd., Little Rock, AR 72210.
