Neal Price Johnson passed away Friday, August 31, 2018 at the age 92 in Denton, Texas at the apartment he and his wife shared at an assisted living facility. Prior to moving to Denton to be near his oldest son, he and his wife lived in Greenbrier, Arkansas.
Mr. Johnson served in the U. S. Army, was a veteran of World War II and a Purple Heart recipient. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Ruth Tarver Johnson, two sons, George and his wife Greta of Denton, Texas, Arthur (Art) and his wife Candy of Decatur, Indiana, two grandsons, three great-grandchildren, and a sister, Fern Duncan of Quitman, Arkansas. Mr. Johnson is also survived by many other family members and friends.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents James and Gertrude Johnson, 2 sisters, Winnie Baily and Eva Sparkman, and three brothers, Hulen, Clark, and Fay.
Funeral services will be held at Life Song Baptist Church in Greenbrier on Thursday,September 6, 2018 at 9-10 a.m. Services will be at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Quitman, Arkansas.
