Nell Keller George passed away peacefully at home in Little Rock on November 16, 2017. She was born 100 years ago in Anderson, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Minta Cortner; her husbands, Donald G. Keller and Robert George; her brothers, Everett, Raymond and Ralph Cortner and her sisters, LaVann Kimberling and Nancy Scarlett.
Mom is lovingly survived by her daughters, Joyce Stainton of Hollister, California and Carol Brubaker (Lloyd) of Little Rock, Arkansas. Nana will be dearly missed by her five grandchildren Jeff (Leslie) Stainton, Leslie (Jim) Snow Pignone, Don Brubaker (Lisa), Jennifer Lamberson (Randy) and Chris Stainton (Heide); her five great-grandchildren, Steven Stainton (Danielle), Jason Anbos, Andrew Snow, Emily Hanley (Paul) and Noah Anbos; and her two great-great grandchildren, Taylor Stainton and Lydia Hanley with another one due in March. She will be missed by her two nieces and two nephews.
The family appreciates the compassion shown to Mom by the Staff at Brookdale/Pleasant Hills and her care team at Arkansas Hospice.
Memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Feed Arkansas Kids, Church at Rock Creek, 11500 W. 36th Street, Little Rock, AR 72211.
