Nell Childress Wetherington age 85 of Arkadelphia passed away Monday, March 4, 2013. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a retired seamstress having worked at Oberman Manufacturing and Hollywood Vassarette.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Emma Thomasson Childress, husband, Earnie Wetherington, brothers, George, Otha and Roy Childress; and sister, Margie Childress.
She is survived by daughters, Shelia Blankenship of Benton, Sharis (Mike) Armstrong of Arkadelphia; sisters, Pearl Buck of Arkadelphia, Eunice Holder of California; grandchildren, Robert Blankenship, Beau (Rachel) Blankenship, Kyle (Meridith) Armstrong and Alana (Spencer) Eifert; great-grandson, Walden Blankenship; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 7th at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens with Bro. Phillip Runyan officiating. Visitation will be 6-8 PM Wednesday at Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home.
