Nell Wood

Nell Rose Wood, 88, of Bryant, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, August 28, 2014. She was born in New Edinburgh, Arkansas to William David and Addie Belle Daniel Attwood and was a faithful member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church which she dearly loved. She attended Draughon's School of Business. She worked for Fordyce Lumber Company, Forrest City Schools, Levi Strauss and Sunset Lane Baptist Church Daycare.

Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Randolph Wood, Sr., brother, David Attwood, and sisters, Louise Sledd, Mary Taylor and Gladys McManus, she is survived by her son, William Randolph Wood, Jr. (Laurel) of Raleigh, North Carolina; daughter, Angela Rose Bragg (Johnny) of Bryant; grandchildren, Leslie Rose Reeves (Jeremy) and John Randolph Bragg and great-grandchildren, Walker Randolph Reeves and Oliver William Reeves, all of Little Rock.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening, September 2 from 6-8 p.m. at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church. Services will be Wednesday, September 3 at 11 a.m. at the church, officiated by Rev. Paul Sanders, followed by interment at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. Memorials may be made to the Geyer Springs First Baptist Church Building Fund, 12400 Interstate-30, Little Rock, AR 72210 or to the Freehouse Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 226, Fordyce, AR 71742.
