Neola McNew, 94, passed away Monday, July 25, 2017. She was born April 26, 1923 and raised near Hickory Plains, Arkansas. Mrs. McNew was the oldest daughter of Mr. Bryan and Mrs. Johnnie McNeill. After her husband's death in 2008, Mrs. McNew has been living near her daughters in Picayune, Mississippi.
Mrs. McNew was always ready for an adventure, even in her 90's. Her purse was never far away, and when an opportunity to go somewhere came up she would grab it and say "Let's go!"
She is survived by three of her four children, Judy Jones (Doyal), Rick McNew (Ann) and Linda Frierson; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mrs. McNew was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; sisters Faye Spears and Wilma Parker; and her mother and father. Her youngest child, Suzanne Hill (Raymon), passed away December 3, 2016. One grandchild, Kimberly McNew, whom passed away in 2011.
