Nicholas Ryan Elsen, born on October 16, 1986, in Wichita, Kansas passed away on August 19, 2024. He was a cherished individual whose vibrant spirit significantly impacted everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Nicholas dedicated his professional life to the printing industry, working as a flexographic press operator. His commitment to his work was evident, yet he was equally known for his caring nature, particularly as a wonderful caregiver to his brother, Christopher, who preceded him in death.
Known for his bit of ornery personality, Nicholas had a unique ability to express love and support for his family. He would often begrudgingly agree to help his sister, Katie, with tasks, which only showcased his deep-seated affection for his family. Always willing to lend a hand to any family member or friend, Nicholas fostered strong connections with those around him, demonstrating his steadfast love and loyalty. Nicholas was an avid gamer and an outdoors man who enjoyed being in nature and fishing. He was a jack of all trades who could fix anything.
Nicholas was an individual who reveled in life's simple pleasures. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, engaging in activities such as fishing, kayaking, and camping. His adventurous spirit led him to embrace hobbies like skateboarding and playing the guitar. Nicholas had a passion for gaming and took delight in visiting different states with friends to search for crystals and engage in gold mining. A lover of fireworks, he even took the creative initiative to make some of his own.
Nicholas was deeply admired by his family, which included his father, Dennis James Elsen, and mother, De Ette (Smith) Elsen, both of Wichita, Kansas; his brother, Tim Elsen, and wife, Sarah Snow-Elsen, also of Wichita; his sister, Katie Elsen of Wichita; and his grandparents, Zelma Elsen of Wichita, Kansas, and Don Elsen and wife June of Blue Jacket, Oklahoma. Nicholas's loving family extended to his nieces and nephew, Lydia Elsen, Isley Jane Elsen, and Lennox Godshall, as well as his cousin who was like a sister, Andrea Peterman. He also shared a close friendship with Tiffany Thomas of Wichita, Kansas, and held Doug Richards of Kansas City, Kansas, dear as a friend who was like a brother. Nicholas adored many cousins and had an extensive network of extended family and friends who loved him and will miss him dearly. At home, Nicholas shared an affectionate bond with his new cat, Pearl, adding warmth and joy to his life.
Nicholas Ryan Elsen leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories that will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew him. His enthusiasm for life and caring nature made a lasting impact, ensuring that he will be remembered fondly and missed by many.
