Nola Bernice Jones, 94, of Benton, was called home by the Lord on August 4th, 2025.
Born on October 8th, 1930, in Stone County, Arkansas, she was one of six children, born to Robert & Maggie Anderson. Her nurturing and compassionate nature was evident at a young age. She dropped out of school to take care of her younger siblings and parents. That same nature carried into adulthood, where she took care of neighborhood children and worked in the nursery at her church. Her honest and humble upbringing never wearied. She devoted her life to her family and the Lord. As a devout Christian, she was the matriarch of the family. Instilling God’s word through actions, she was the epitome of 'practice what you preach' and a true testament to God’s grace and love. Her faith never wavering, her love never fading, she was an angel on Earth to all that had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived in love by her daughters, Shirley, Darlene, and Sharlene; Her grandchildren, Nala, Shana, and Dillon; her great-granddaughters, Olivia and Delilah; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is now reunited with her husband, Bill Jones; Her son, Roger Jones; Her siblings, Mildred, Luther, Dorene, Lorene, and Robert “RB”; and her parents.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 11th, 2025, at 12:00 pm, at Pinecrest Cemetery, 7401 Hwy 5, in Alexander, Arkansas.
