Nolen Virgil Long, "Littlen"

July 2, 1939 – August 13, 2025

Nolen Long, 86, of Mt. Pine, Arkansas, passed peacefully into the arms of his Savior on August 13, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Onita Long, and his cherished great-granddaughter, Nora McConathy.

Nolen is survived by his twin brother, Olen 'Biggen' Long; Sisters, Helen Buffington, Doris 'Dot' McConnell; Children, Nolen (Ana) Long, Richard Long (Lisa) and Donna Beer (Barry). He also leaves behind grandchildren, Tiffany McConathy (Jeremy), Justin Long (Hollie), and Katie Withers (Justin), along with a host of great-grandchildren, extended family, and dear friends. Nolen deeply loved his family, and his pride and devotion to them were evident to all who knew him.

A dedicated and hardworking man, Nolen retired from Weyerhaeuser after 43 years of faithful service. He had a great sense of humor, loved a good home-cooked meal, and found peace and joy in being outdoors. Whether hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying the fresh Arkansas air, he embraced the beauty of God’s creation. His zest for life was matched only by his steadfast faith—Nolen loved the Lord with all his heart and lived his life as a testament to that devotion until his final day.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, 5 pm - 7pm at Smith Family Funeral Home, 2205 Airport Rd, Hot Springs, AR 71913. Funeral services will follow on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., also at Smith Family Funeral Home, with graveside services immediately afterward.

His legacy of love, laughter, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
