Nona M. Sherrell

Nona M. Mayhue Sherrell, 91, of Little Rock, passed away from earth to her heavenly home Monday, November 1, 2022.

Born in England, AR to the late Grover Cleveland and Daisy Goforth Mayhue, she is survived by her sons, Mike Brown (Deb) and Mark Brown; grandchildren, Cliff Snowden, Cory Holloway (Galen), Taylor Bryant (Cody); six great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by all seven of her siblings; her husband, Bob Sherrell; her eldest son, Jim Brown and daughter, Sharon Ouzts. 

Nona was always very family oriented, doting on her grandchildren, making weekly trips to McDonald’s. She also loved Razorback basketball and cooking.  She retired from Good Shepherd Retirement Center where she managed the kitchen. In 2012 a stroke left her disabled and she lived at Encore of West Little Rock until her death. 

Nona’s family wish to thank all the staff at Encore for their love and care these many years. 

A graveside service will be held Friday, November 4, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Ida Mission Cemetery, 19023 Colonel Glenn Rd.
