Norma Jean Nosen walked through the pearly gates on Friday, April 24, 2026, wearing her favorite red shirt, her bright red hair shining, as she was reunited with her mother and baby brother—whom she spoke of often and held close in her heart.
Norma leaves behind her cherished housemates at Whit Davis ICF, along with her many dear friends from Pathfinder. She carried with her joyful memories of proms, dances, and outings that filled her life with happiness. She shared a special bond with Missy Knox—her secret birthday gift giver, devoted caretaker, and the one who was always there with sodas, pajamas, and fried chicken when it mattered most.
She was deeply loved by the Country Chapel Church, who embraced her as one of their own. Norma also held a special place in her heart for her favorite guy, Veodatis Smith, who will forever be remembered as her prom date. And, of course, she never forgot the wonderful “Green Guy” who visited each Christmas—the Grinch—who brought her so much joy.
To know Norma was to truly know her spirited, feisty self. She had a way of making sure nothing was ever half empty—because if it was, she would worry about it endlessly. It didn’t take much for her to become wonderfully fixated on something, and that was part of her charm. To know Norma was to love Norma.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Beebe Retirement Center for the care and compassion shown to Norma.
Norma’s service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W. Dewitt Henry Dr., Beebe. In her honor, everyone is asked to wear her favorite color—red. She will be laid to rest at Cypress Valley Cemetery in Vilonia. There will be no graveside service.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Online guest book at www.smithfamilycares.com.
