Norman Russell Hall went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 4, 2011. Norman was born December 30, 1926 in Little Rock, Arkansas, the son of Norman and Thelma Hazel Janes Hall. He was the grandson of longtime school superintendent R.C. Hall. Norman was educated in the Little Rock and El Dorado Public Schools and was a carpenter by trade. Norman was a lover of nature, and hunting and fishing were his favorite occupations. In his retirement years bird watching became a fascinating hobby. Mr. Hall was a member of the First Baptist Church, Men's Adult 4 SS Class and the North American Fishing Club.
Survivors are his wife, Nancy Lee Stringer Hall; special cousins, Gale Stewart and her husband Walter Nunn and Jane Gillespie; one niece, Mary Jane Hedeman of Canada; two nephews, Mike Hunter of Fort Smith and Danny Hunter of Lake Village. Mr. Hall was predeceased by his parents and one sister, Carolyn Hall Hunter.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on June 7, 2011 at First Baptist Church, 62 Pleasant Valley Dr., Little Rock, AR 72212 with Dr. John Wright and Rev. Jim Lagrone officiating. Burial will follow at Sheridan Cemetery in the Knowles Plot in Sheridan, Arkansas.
