Numan Sisco

Numan Eugene "Gene" Sisco, 90, of North Little Rock, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2013 in his home of 61 years, surrounded by the people he loved. He was born in Delmar, Arkansas on August 15, 1922.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bryan and Francis Sisco; his sister, Katherine Sisco-Hood; his sons-in-law, Steve Thompson and John Stanton.

He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and loving wife of 68 years, Irma Lea Allred Sisco; daughters, Helen Stanton of Conway and Jeannie Thompson and Joe Benight of Sheridan; grandchildren, Mandy Stanton, John Eric Stanton and wife Erin, Dustin Thompson and Jessica Thompson; great-grandchildren, Briley Thompson, John Brayden Stanton and Keelan Stanton; and precious caregivers Victoria Harvey and Unita Massey to whom his family will be forever grateful.

He was a Navy Veteran, serving in WWII. He retired from Timex in 1989 after 25 years of service. He loved spending time with his family and in his workshop and he did until his health declined.

Gene was a member of Levy United Methodist Church where he served as President of the Disciples Class for many years. He will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor and his sweet disposition and smile.
The family would like to thank Baptist Home Health and Hospice Long Term Care.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday April 24, 2013 both at Levy United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow at Edgewood Memorial Park Cemetery in North Little Rock.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Thompson, John Eric Stanton, Bobby Balentine, Mark Peterson, Cliff Sipple, Len Sisco, Roger Stanton, and Tony Thompson.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Levy United Methodist Church, 701 West 47th, NLR, AR 72118.
