O.W. (Red) George, 92, of North Little Rock, died Sunday, August 20, 2006 in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas. He was born November 25, 1913 in Mt. George, Arkansas. He was a longtime member of the Levy Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Mildred Dacus George; sister, Lola George Scott; three brothers, Alseen, Leroy and T.J. George and his parents, Nelson, Mary Ann and Maggie George. He is survived by his sons, Warren and James George, daughters-in-law, Alice and Corliss; six grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Mt. George Cemetery, Rt. 1, Hwy 128, Danville, Arkansas 72833.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 A.M., Thursday at Mt. George Cemetery with Minister Ryan George officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main St., 758-1170. Online obituary and guest register at www.northlittlerockfuneralhome.com.
