Bill Fulton

November 5, 1943 ~ March 19, 2020 (age 76)

Bill Fulton, born November 5th, 1943, was a man of many talents and many friends.  He was an artist, teacher, scientist, writer, magician, and beloved husband and papa.  Of all these, his greatest talent was showcasing the abilities of others and helping them believe in themselves.

Bill had fond memories and many tales to tell about growing up in North Little Rock, graduating from Castle Heights Military Academy, attending UALR as a psychology major and UCA for a master’s degree in biology.  Good stories also came from his time in California panning for gold while taking a break from all that education.

Bill worked as Science and Environmental Education Specialist for the Arkansas Department of Education until his retirement in 1997.  Feeling strongly that acting as a resource and support for the state’s teachers was his main purpose, he worked tirelessly toward that end.

During retirement, Bill shared the art of drawing with his talented friends at Life Quest of Little Rock, performed and taught magic as Amethyst the Wizard, and spend time with his wife, Liz, children, Steve Hargis and Carla Hargis, and his grandchildren, Noah, Rebekah, Josh, and Rachel.  All will miss him, but keep him in their hearts and memory.

Bill is also survived by his sister, Lynn Schriver, and his sons, Kevin and Brian Fulton.

As of March 19, 2020, Amethyst has left the room. Memorial donations can be made to Life Quest of Little Rock or the Little Rock Animal Village.  A memorial of sharing will be held sometime in the future.
