Carrie Jean Wolfe Ferry of Beebe, Arkansas now has a new home in Heaven. On Thursday, August 29, 2019 Carrie joined God and is back in her Daddy’s arms. Carrie was born in Denison, Texas on June 13, 1961 to Cleo and Mary Wolfe.
Carrie was a stay at home mom to her sons Andrew and Cody. After Carrie’s sons had been in school for a while, she became bored and started riding the school bus and volunteering at the school in McRae. Eventually the school realized what an asset Carrie was to them and the children, and for 16 years she was a teacher’s aide to the special needs children for the McRae and then the Beebe school systems.
Carrie was truly loved by the teachers, her special needs children and by all of the students that she came in contact with. Anytime Carrie was out and about in Beebe, there would always be a former student that wanted to give their Miss Ferry a hug.
She was preceded in death by her father Cleo Wolfe and her husband of 26 years, Eddie Ferry.
Carrie is survived by her mother Mary Wolfe of Beebe; son Andrew Ferry (Ciara) of Beebe, son Cody Ferry (Heather) of Searcy; sister Vicki Wolfe Barlow of Beebe, sister Tricia Wolfe Gilbert of North Little Rock; brother Barry Wolfe (Misty) of Beebe, brother Michael Wolfe (Rachel) of Little Rock; and grandchildren Taton, Haylee, Aubrey, Kennedy and Harrison.
The family graciously asks that in lieu of flowers, that contributions be made to Carrie’s greatly loved church, North Side Church of Christ in Beebe, Arkansas.
Visitation begins at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2019, at North Side Church of Christ, followed by funeral service at noon. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home. www.smithfamilycares.com
