Gerald Dean White, 68, of Bryant, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2008. He was a U. S. Navy veteran, retired from Arkansas Power & Light and a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. He was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving him are his loving wife, Flora White; a daughter, Patty Thompson and husband, Rick of Benton; his sister, Nita Haas and husband, Jake of Cabot; grandchildren, Ryan Stokes, Caleb Burchfield, Chris Ward and Zac Thompson; sister-in-law, Pat Holt, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Helen and Dave Sears; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Margie Smith White, and daughter, Debbie White.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 2 at Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. (NW corner I-630 and Barrow Rd.), Little Rock. The Funeral Service will be Thursday, January 3 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Rev. Terry Williams. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arkansas Cancer Research Center at UAMS. The family wishes to offer special thanks to Dr. Brad Baltz and his staff for their compassionate care of Mr. White and his family.
