Odale Gentry
Odale Gentry, age 77, passed away on August 24, 2012 in Alexander. Odale was born on February 1, 1935 in Bauxite, AR.
He is survived by one daughter; Debra Johnston and spouse Gary of Alexander, two sons; Jeff Gentry and spouse Ruthie and Marlon Gentry all of Benton, granddaughter; Kristy Byrd and husband Chuck of Benton, great-grandchild; Paige Byrd, two brothers; Sam Gentry of California and Harold Gentry of Shannon Hills as well as many nieces and nephews and a host of friends and other family members. Odale was dearly loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Wanda Sue Gentry and parents; Amores Wyatt and Flora Ellen Gentry.
Mr. Gentry proudly served his country as a Marine in the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW Post #14000. He worked for several years for the City of Benton, drove a truck and was a mechanic during most of his working years.
The family wishes to give special thanks to the V.A. Hospital and Hospice Staff and Saline Memorial Hospice.
The family will hold graveside services at New Summit Cemetery on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 2:00 P.M.
