Odell Cogburn

Odell Cogburn, age 86, of Glenwood, died Sunday, September 23, 2012. He was born on February 14, 1926, at Newhope, the son of William Cogburn and Pearl Keeling Cogburn. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Jerry Cogburn; three brothers, Woodrow Cogburn, Vanis Cogburn and Sug Cogburn; and one sister, May Tigue. He enjoyed fishing and turkey hunting; but his greatest love was spending time with his family. He is survived by one son, David Cogburn of Glenwood; one daughter, Kathy Conwell of Yellville; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, Elbert Cogburn of Lodi; one sister, Geraldine Lockeby of Point Cedar; his special friend, Tommy Cook; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, September 27, 2012, in the Fancy Hill Cemetery with Rev. Melvin Markham officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Kenny Ray Cogburn, Gerald Ray Cogburn, Tommy Cook, Kevin Powell, Billy Cogburn and Richard O'Neal. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood.
