Oscar O. Beckham, 88 of Sherwood, passed away February 17, 2013, at Hospice home care. He was born on September 8, 1924 in Kingston Springs, TN; he was the son of James B. and Mary Beckham.

Oscar was a Maintenance Foreman for the U.S. Department of Defense for 38 years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge He served as a Deacon at Baring Cross Baptist Church of Sherwood. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II and was awarded 4 bronze stars.

Survivors include Lois M. Beckham, his wife of 67 years, son Randy Beckham. 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A sister, Sybil White of Murfreesboro, TN.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, February 22, 2013 at Huson Chapel in Sherwood, Arkansas. Burial will follow at the Arkansas State Veteran Cemetery in Sherwood. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Huson Funeral Home at 7700 Hwy 107, Sherwood, Arkansas
