Oscar Jukes

Oscar Grey Jukes was born June 18, 2017, and was loved for six days before leaving us. Oscar's life is proof that an impact can be made in such a short time. His arrival filled our lives with hope and joy, and his passing left us in pieces.

You were our miracle baby; the surprise of a lifetime. Your mommy took such good care of you as she carried you for over nine months. When you decided to show up a week early, we were so happy to meet you! All that dark hair and little scrunchy ears were so sweet and new to us. We were in love the moment we saw you. Family and friends came to visit you in the hospital, and we got to take you home after a couple days. Your big brothers were a little unsure at first, but they loved you so much. We were just starting to learn the routine of having a third little boy in the house, and then you were gone.

We know it is not fair, and it will never make sense. We will always love you and miss you more than we could ever explain, little Oscar. Thank you for choosing us.

Oscar is survived by his mommy and daddy, Kara and Alan Jukes, as well as his big brothers, Charlie and Henry. Other family and friends who love him and who have offered their support are too numerous to name. Just know we appreciate it profoundly and thank you all.

We ask friends and family to join us in remembering our tiny boy and what he brought to our lives. A memorial service will be held July 8, 2017 at 4:00 at Smith Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, North Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to the charity of your choosing and take time to tell those you love what they really mean to you.
