Owen H. Curry, Jr, age 87 of Little Rock, Arkansas stepped into Heaven on April 21, 2026, resulting from a heart attack.

Owen was preceded in death by his daughter, Tami Renae Curry and parents, Owen Sr, and Nancy Curry.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda, the light of his life for 56 wonderful years as well as two daughters, Lisa Bankston (Paul) and Tammy Pinney (Scott), six grandchildren, seven-great grandchildren and his sister, Carol Cunningham (Brad).

Owen loved and enjoyed his grandchildren: Cathi Barnhart (Chris), Lauren Stephens (Ryan), Tyler Pinney (Alexis), Nathan, Tristen and Abby Bankston, his great-grandchildren were also special blessings: Sadie, Brantley, and Eli Barnhart, Tatum, Clark and Ollie Mae Pinney and Chandler Stephens.

Owen led a very active life with leadership positions in the Lions Club, Masonic Lodge and East Union Missionary Baptist Church. Owen graduated from Central High School in 1956. He joined the Little Rock Naval Reserves during his senior year and the US Navy after graduation. Owen was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. He was a member of the Scottish Rite and a 3rd Degree Mason.

Owen was the grandson of the founder of Curry’s Termite and Pest Control which was founded in 1926. He later became the owner of Curry’s and upon his retirement in 2013, he sold the business to his daughter and son-in-law, Scott and Tammy Pinney.

Owen has been a member of Lion's Club International for sixty-six years and is currently a member of the Little Rock South Lions Club, where he served on the membership committee and the board of directors. Owen was awarded the Melvin Jones Fellowship and the Dalstrom Award for his continuous service.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 30, 2026, beginning at 12:00 PM at East Union Missionary Baptist Church, with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at the Old Texas Cemetery in Guy, Arkansas at 3:00 PM.
