Pamela Kay Shook, age 69, of Newhope, Arkansas, passed away Monday, August 24, 2026. She was born December 18, 1956, in Umpire, Arkansas, to the late Hester Matthew and Rosa Naoma (Oma) Davis Terrell
She was a homemaker; she loved flowers, and her yard was always beautiful. She enjoyed and loved her dogs and was a great mom who will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a very kind-hearted and awesome caregiver who took care of her mother and other family members with excellence and pride.
Pamela was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Shook; her parents, Hester and Oma Davis; and her three sisters, Helen Coffman Raven, Clara Risner, and Betty Simmons.
She married Dennis Shook on May 24, 2002, and was Christian in her faith.
She is survived by her daughter Bridget McGee of Glenwood; two grandsons, Johnny Ray (Hannah) Dowdy of Gravette and Chance (Crystal) Gatlin of Newhope; two great grand children Mallory Gatlin and Noah Ray Dowdy; her brother, Tony Davis (Darla) of Langley; her sister, Phyllis Howard (Leonard) of Umpire; and her two brother-in-laws Roy Risner of Newhope and Terry Shook of Hot Springs.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home- Glenwood.
