Patricia D. Banicky, age 87, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026.

She was born on August 19, 1938, in Colombus, GA. The daughter of Leroy and Alberta Carver. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Dorothy Roberts, her brothers, Thomas and Leroy Carver, and her son, Michael Banicky.

Patricia's love in her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

She will be remembered for her passion of reading, it filled her days and nights. She also had great enjoyment from watching YouTube videos. 

In her younger years, she enjoyed traveling with her sister (Dot) and her mother. She always had stories to tell about their adventures to Hawaii and many trips to the casinos.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Jenny Harris; her two daughters and son-in-law, Lisa and Phillip Thomas and Susan Banicky; her special friend that was like a daughter, Rebecca Harris; her eight grandchildren and their spouses, Kirsten and Mike DeMoss, Devin Thomas, Jennifer (Chase) Murphy, Mallory (Kylie) Fredrick, Lee Banicky, Alex Banicky, CJ, and Pamela; her six great-grandchildren, Hudson, Tanner, Kallie, Harper, Lawson, and Livya; her sister-in-law, Gladyce Carver; nieces, and nephews, Julie Holcomb, Leisha Abrams, Glenn Roberts, Myke Abrams, Melisa Abrams, Harold Carver, Jamey Carver, Chris Bridge, Trace Carver, Kristyn Carver, Mia Carver, Ava Carver, and Lana Carver.

In honor of her wishes, Patricia will be cremated and a day of remembrance will beheld at a later date. 

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home- Glenwood.
