Patricia Hartley, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, January 7th, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald Larabell and Blanche Spooner.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Hartley, whom she married on September 18, 1996; her sons, Richard Retford (Hannah), and Christopher Hartley; her daughter, Mellissa Jarrett; brother, Joseph (Folia) Larabell; sister, Deborah Dalton; grandchildren, Samuel Jacob Jarrett, Emmalynn Jarrett, Abigail Jarrett, Lillianna Jarrett-Midland, Isiah Sorrells, Mason Sorrells, Layla Retford, Greyston Retford, and Declan Retford.
Pat's interests included reading, watching movies, and doing jigsaw puzzles. One night her and her husband went swimming because it was so hot and later found out that the lake was alligator infested. She was always full of surprises, one time she drove one hundred and thirty five miles unannounced to surprise her husband. Pat was always doing things to show those around her that she loved them.
Patricia was passionate about education and loving people (especially her students), and she became a counselor later in her career. She was super organized and dedicated to her profession and her students. She loved, motivated, counseled, and made sure everything was in order for her students to graduate and to be successful.
Patricia had a hard life before her and her husband met and also after. She was raising two children, working, and furthering her education to become a teacher in order to make a difference. She had a drive and determination for herself and her children to be all that they could be. Family was everything to her, she would sacrifice in order to make things better for everyone else. Her joy was to hold her grandchildren as babies and love on them. She would put her loving arms around her children, grandchildren, students, and of course her husband Bill. He said "If I had to describe Patricia with one word it would be love. That love will be missed."
Her services will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2025, located at New Hope Cemetery in Hampton, Ar. at 1:00PM.
Hope is the bridge between today and tomorrow. Let us remember this as we lay Patricia to rest.
