Listen to Obituary

With heartfelt sorrow and enduring gratitude, we remember Patricia Ann “Pat” Middleton, who passed peacefully from this world on June 19, 2026. Born January 15, 1942, in Little Rock, Patricia’s warmth, kindness, and unwavering generosity touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Patricia began her life in Little Rock, where she was raised and baptized at First Baptist Church in the 1950s—a community she cherished ever since her youth. Loving others was a cornerstone of her life, reverberated in every interaction she had.

A graduate of Sylvan High School’s Class of 1960, Pat treasured her education and the friendships she fostered along the way. Soon after, she met and married her beloved husband, Tommie Middleton Jr., on December 18, 1961. Their devotion and companionship, carried them through 52 cherished years together until Tommie’s passing in 2013. Their partnership became a living testament to love, resilience, and loyalty.

Throughout her long and industrious career, Patricia dedicated 29 years of service as a cashier at Walmart, where her welcoming smile and warm laughter left a lasting mark on coworkers and customers alike. Retiring in 2015, she looked back with pride on decades of honest work and the lifelong connections forged along every aisle and checkout line.

Ever the enthusiast for life’s simple joys, Pat’s spirit shone brightly in the little things she loved. She loved listening to Elvis! Flea markets beckoned to her sense of adventure, and the gentle patience she brought to fishing and hunting reflected her appreciation for the beauty and peace of the outdoors. Her love for working in her flower beds revealed her cultivating soul. Creativity blossomed through the hours she spent crocheting, gifting her handiwork to those she cherished. Pat had a playful side too—she was an adoring fan of “Lilo and Stitch” and “Grogu” from Star Wars, delighting in their stories and charm with the same joy she brought to her own life.

To know Patricia was to be loved by her. She never met a stranger—each new friend was quickly folded into the warmth of her chosen family. “The first time you came to her house you were a guest; after that, you were family.” This guiding principle echoed through her life, manifesting daily in her readiness to help anyone in any way she could. Her home was a refuge, filled with laughter, comfort, and welcome for all.

She is survived by her siblings, Donald Ray McCall, Jean Mooney Brawner, Fred Mooney, and JoAnne Mooney Peterson (Larry). Her children, Cindy Middleton, Rickie Middleton (Teresa), and Justin Middleton. Her grandchildren, Jennifer Middleton, Bryan Middleton (Serina), Timbrey Middleton, Rebecca Davis (Eathen), Jacob Middleton (Cheyenne), Mason Middleton, Tyler Middleton, Taylor Middleton, Scarlet Middleton, along with her great- grandchildren Jordyn Nelson, Piper Middleton, Haven Middleton, Elaina Davis, and Ayda Davis.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Margaret McCall, Jimmie McCall, and Ivan Rupert Mooney, her siblings Sharon Jean Burlin and Morris Dwayne McCall, and lastly, her devoted husband, Tommie Middleton Jr.

Though many mourn her absence, her memory will forever be a light for all whose lives she touched. As we remember Pat, her boundless love, unquenchable generosity, and indomitable joy, she will echo in our hearts and memories. Her legacy is written in the countless lives she warmed and the family she gathered around her table. Rest well, Pat—you will be dearly missed and forever cherished.
