Patricia M. Sweeden Wood

Patricia Michelle Sweeden Wood, 42, passed through death to eternal life on March 22, 2024.

All through her life she was always generous with others, with a kind and compassionate heart. Everything she did was for her children, Amber and Michael, with Amber ready to graduate High School with honors this year. She never missed a parent-teacher conference even at the High School to help give Amber and Michael everything they needed to succeed.

“Patty” was a Store Manager of Casey’s General Store in Heber Springs and had recently been named as the Store Manager for a brand-new store in Beebe. Patty had a wonderful work ethic that enabled her to excel in her role as Manager. She had a generous heart for those with disabilities, making sure there was a place on her team for them and always took care of her staff above and beyond her role as Manager. She will be missed by her team members as well as the communities she served every day.

Patricia loved music and sang at church throughout her life, with her mom and dad and two sisters as they were growing up. She continued that tradition of music, singing in the choir at Immaculate Conception and leading the congregation in song as a cantor whenever there was a need.

Patricia is preceded in death by her husband, Mike Wood, and survived by her parents, Deacon Edward and Valerie Sweeden, two sisters, Christina Ryan (David) and Sarah Sweeden, and two children, Amber Hale and Michael Hale. She is also survived by aunts and uncles; Jim and Pauline Elsasser, Denise Reise, Tim Sweeden, Deacon Barry and Laura Sweeden, Mary Savanah, Alicia Sweeden, Gina and Freddie Self, Lucy Sweeden-Smith, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Patricia will be remembered for her caring and compassionate spirit, her love of music, and her dedication to her family and community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
