Patsy Jean McDaniel Cox

Patsy Jean McDaniel Cox, age 83, of Maumelle, Arkansas, went to be with her Lord on Monday, July 13, 2026. She was a devout Christian and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She passed away peacefully in her home after an extended illness.

She was born on September 14, 1942, in Pulaski, Tennessee, daughter of the late R. Z. and Mary Marguerite Lee McDaniel. She was a graduate of Cornersville High School in Cornersville, Tennessee. Patsy worked in finance and retired as an administrative assistant in education.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby McDaniel and Wayne McDaniel, and one sister, Peggy McDaniel Davis.

Patsy is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jennings (Jack) Cox; three daughters: Missy Cox Davis of Greers Ferry, Arkansas, Michelle Cox McClanahan (Robert) of Maumelle, Arkansas and Sharon Cox Wade(Steve) of Olathe, Kansas; nine grandchildren: Jeffrey Davis (Katie), Stephanie Jones (Ben), Kylie McClanahan (Dillon), Kathleen McClanahan, Riley McClanahan, Luke McClanahan, Carter Wade, Preston Wade and Kristen Wade; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday July 16, 2026, at 2pm at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Court, Little Rock, Arkansas 72205, with visitation prior to the funeral at 1pm. Mr. Nick Hamilton will be officiating. A private burial will follow at the Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
