Paul Ray Dobson (Grandy), 93, of Little Rock, Arkansas, formerly of Cowpens, South Carolina, passed away May 27, 2024. He was a retired marine: Chosin Reservoir survivor. He served in Vietnam where he received the Purple Heart.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lois Ann Montgomery Dobson; daughter, Patricia Ann Montgomery Tennyson; parents Broadus and Annie Dobson; and brothers Smiley, Donald, Lewis, and Fred Dobson.

He is survived by his twin sister, Faye Hall of Cowpens, South Carolina; son, Michael Montgomery (Betty); granddaughters, Heather McDaniel (TJ), Holly Miguet (Michael), Kim Tennyson Hathcote; great grandsons, Parker and Henry McDaniel, Keaton and Gavin Miguet; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like to thank the VA Home Based Primary Care- Becca Effren, APRN; Tony Fincher, R.N. for the loving care and concern they extended to Grandy! 

When anyone asked him, “How are you?” his reply would always be, “Fit as a fiddle!”

A graveside service with full military honors will be held Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 1501 W Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, Arkansas 72120.
