Paul D. Parker age 89, of Sherman, TX formerly of the JoAnn Community near Arkadelphia, died Tuesday, December 27, 2005 in the Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman. He was born November 5, 1916 in Clark County the son of Joseph Wiley and Zella Williams Parker. He lived in the JoAnn Community for forty years before moving to Sherman three years ago. He was employed with International Paper Company for thirty years, at which time he retired to have more time to hunt and fish. He was preceded in death by his wife Merle Parker, son Phil Parker, sister Martha Parker, brothers James, Winfred, and J.W. Parker.
Survivors include one daughter Jane Parker of Garland, TX, one son Paul Parker Jr. of Plano, TX, grandsons Jeff, Brian and Scott Parker, and a great-grandson J.D. Parker, one sister Millie Kent of Waco, TX and a brother Bill Parker of Whitesboro, TX.
Funeral service will be 1 P.M. Friday in the Bethlehem United Methodist Church in JoAnn with Rev. Royce Savage officiating. Burial will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery under the direction of Ruggles-Wilcox Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Thursday December 29, at the funeral home.
