Pauline Appleby

Listen to Obituary
Pauline Payer Appleby, 99, of North Little Rock, completed her journey on December 12, 2015 to become head gardener in her eternal flower garden.
She was born April 16, 1916 to C.A. and Katie Franz Payer in the Ulm Community which her grandfather Frederick Franz settled upon his arriving from Frankfort, Germany. She was preceded in death by her husband Glen Appleby, daughter, Glenda Golden and brother, Allen Payer. She leaves behind to celebrate her memories, daughter, Linda Tenison (Bill); sister Mildred "Babe" Fortune; son-in-law, Jerry Golden; grandson, Wes Sowerbrower (Amanda Ray), Karen Byrd (Dennis), Kim Helmbeck; step-granddaughter, Tammy Tenison; step-grandson David Tenison (Shannon); foster grand-daughters, Bonnie Lewis Wetzel and Robin Lewis Hall; 11 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great granddaughters; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Pauline loved being a member of Berean Missionary Baptist Church since 1957 and rarely missed until her eyesight and hearing failed to prevent her from going. She was an avid Razorback fan, loved her chocolates, and enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens. She also enjoyed her church friends and family visiting her at home and appreciated all who visited her at Greystone Nursing and Rehab Center. Also, a big thank you to the Greystone caregivers and hospice team who cared for her like family.
