Pauline Bass, age 94 of Beebe, peacefully passed from this life on April 13, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 14, 1931, in Beebe to Wiliam Tozer and Annie Marie Gable.
Pauline is survived by three children; son, CL Bass of Butlerville; two daughters, Dianne Schlenker of Beebe and Shirley (James) Barnes of Beebe; seven grandchildren, Kristel (Craig) Duncan of Cabot, Jason (Katie) Bass of Forrest City, Courtney Burnside of Beebe, Nikki (Jeremy) Ball of Forrest City, Emily (Seth) Chappell of Des Arc, Jordan Bass of Hickory Plains, and Jacob Schlenker of Beebe. She was blessed with twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Chester “Check” Tozer and Everett “Willie” Tozer; brother-in-law Tom Walker, along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of seventy-three years, Charles Bass and her parents, William Tozer and Annie Marie Gable; sisters Mary Lee Campbell and Linda Sue Walker; and brothers Harley Tozer, James Tozer, and Lester “Leck” Tozer.
Pauline worked in the home and on the farm alongside her husband all her adult life. She also worked many years at Suburban Casual clothing factory in Beebe where she made lifelong friends and enjoyed her skills at sewing. Pauline was an excellent seamstress but her love for piecing quilt tops and quilting was her true passion. She spent many hours making quilts for family and friends. She finished her last quilt top last week for one of the great grandchildren.
Her memory will be honored at a Graveside Service for the family on Friday, April 17th at 10:00 AM resting at the Butlerville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Children’s Homes, or the Butlerville Cemetery.
