Pearl L. McKenzie, 89, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2008 at her residence in St. Bernard's Village, Jonesboro, AR. Funeral services will be 3:00 Monday, September 15, at the Huson Funeral Home, Hwy. 107 at Club Road, North Little Rock, AR. Visitation will be between 2:00 and 3:00 at the chapel. Entombment will be at Arkansas Memorial Gardens, 8507 Old Jacksonville Highway 161, North Little Rock, AR
Pearl was born February 13, 1919, in Vilonia, AR to the late K. H. and Lillie Conway. She was married to Dwight McKenzie, who predeceased her. She was a long-time employee of the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, having worked in both Chicago, Illinois and Little Rock, AR. She is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Rea Motsinger and her husband, James C. Motsinger, of Kansas City, Missouri, a sister, Mary Smalling and her husband, Warren, of Jonesboro, AR, a brother, Charles W. Conway of Vilonia, AR, and one grandchild, Stephen Carl Motsinger and his wife, Brenda, of Edmond, Oklahoma. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Erik Carl Motsinger and Kyle L. Motsinger of Oklahoma City, and Jayme Elizabeth Hunter of Kansas City, Missouri, as well as two great, great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Lester K. Conway of Cape Girardeau, Mo, and a granddaughter, Sharon Elizabeth Campbell of Kansas City, Mo.
