Peggy Denise Poe

Peggy Denise Poe passed away at home in Hot Springs, Arkansas, on July 11, 2026, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Pine Bluff on September 1, 1959, the daughter of James B. and Emma Poe.

Peggy graduated from Star City High School and Arkansas State Hospital School of Nursing in Little Rock. She worked in the nursing profession until her retirement.

She is survived by her children Bradley Dorrough of Fort Smith; Lindsey Dorrough of Columbus, Ohio; and Gray (Britney) Winters of Bentonville; grandchildren Aubrielle, Alexander, and Blaise; nephews Shannon, Justin, and Jeremy (Katrina Kuyper) Gragg of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and great-nieces and great-nephew Jaylah, Summer, and Jordan. She is also survived by sisters Rhonda Merritt of Tallahassee, Florida, and Connie Gragg of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and numerous cousins and friends at RoseVilla Senior Apartments in Hot Springs.

Per her wishes, no formal services are planned. One of her friends at RoseVilla said it best: “Peggy never met a stranger and loved all animals deeply. She will be missed terribly and never forgotten.”
