Phellam Francis Hewitt, 83 of Jacksonville, died on Friday, June 3, 2011.
He is survived by his wife, Honorata Hewitt of Jacksonville; 5 children, Johnny Fishburn, Denise Cooper, and Robin Palmer, all of Fort Worth, Texas, Sue Thomas of Concord, North Carolina, and Deborah Clark of Paradise, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and 1 great, great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathaniel and Jastia Hewitt.
He served in the U.S. Army, and he also worked as a chef for 50 years. He enjoyed fishing and friends.
Funeral will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street, 758-1170.
