Phillip Hays

Phillip Lloyd Hays, 71, of Little Rock, passed away November 27, 2017. Born in Little Rock to Tommie and Mary Christine Withers Hays, he was a U.S. Army Reserve veteran and a member of Geyer Springs First Baptist Church. He retired from the Little Rock Fire Department as a Battalion Chief following 36 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Peggy Hays; children, Clark Hays and Jeannie Hays, both of Perryville, Courtney Vincent (Chris) of Little Rock and Neil Hays (Kelsey) of North Little Rock; grandchildren, Braxton Zimmerman, Brianna and Hunter Hays, Ellerie, Owen and Everett Hays, Ruthie, Brooks and Whit Vincent; and sisters, Sharon Lovett (Larry) and Melissa Mitcham (Eddie). He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Tommy Hays and grandson, Bailey Zimmerman.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 29, beginning at 12:00 noon, followed by the service at 1:00 p.m., at Geyer Springs First Baptist Church. Pastor Dave Hughey will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander. Memorials may be made to the Geyer Springs First Baptist Church Building Fund.
