Phillip Lee Montague, age 68, of Ward, Arkansas, passed away unexpectedly on October 19, 2025, at home. Phillip was born February 2, 1957, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Phillip grew up on a farm in Ward and attended both Searcy and Cabot Public Schools. He worked at Independent Manufacturing and eventually took over the business where he worked alongside his son Robert. Phillip married Lisa Lynne Caywood on December 31, 1974, in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. Phillip had a love for working cows, working in the hay fields and fishing in the pond on his property. Phillip loved his dogs and his pet squirrels and raccoons. Phillip loved getting together with his family and friends to have cookouts and he was always up for a game of baggo. His competitive side always came out during those long hours of playing the game. Phillip was preceded in death by his parents Ralph Leon and Opal Diane Montague. Phillip is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Lisa Montague, his son Robert (Kristen) Montague of Ward, and daughter Farrah (Craig) Austin of Cabot.
