Phyllis Lee Morse was born September 22, 1942 in Pocahontas, Arkansas, the daughter of Oatha and Gladys (Miller) Mathews. She passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 in Little Rock at the age of 76. Phyllis was married on December 23, 1961 to Willie Frank Morse. They had two daughters, Tarrie and Kelly. Phyllis was a homemaker who liked to paint and work in her flower garden. She was a member of North Hills Baptist Church and affectionately known as Gran Gran to her grandchildren. Phyllis is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Shirley Redden and her brother, Woodrow Mathews.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Willie Frank Morse; daughters, Tarrie Chaney (Wayne), of Magnolia, Texas and Kelly Marinelli, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; two granddaughters, April D’Allessandro (Anthony) and Kristina Marinelli, all of Philadelphia; three grandsons, John Chaney (Amanda), Mike Chaney (Jennifer), both of Houston, Texas and Anthony Marinelli of Philadelphia; four great grandchildren, Anthony and Julian D’Allessandro and Nicole and Jacqueline Chaney; brother-in-law, Bob Redden, of Truman, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Joyce Mathews, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, several nieces and nephews.
Memorials can be made to Jacksonville Senior Wellness and Activity Center, Home Delivered Meals, 100 Victory Circle, Jacksonville, 72076 or to Arkansas Hospice, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, 72116.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 11 AM at North Hills Baptist Church.
