Phyllis Spahn

Phyllis Spahn, age 79, of Hot Springs, peacefully passed away surrounded by her children and sister on Sunday, March 27, 2022.

She was born on April 7, 1942, Morrilton, the daughter of Garland Lee Davis and Mary Elaine Burris Davis.  She is preceded in death by her parents; twin brothers, Darrell Davis and Jerry Davis; and grandson-in-law, Clayton Clenney.

Phyllis loved the outdoors and was an avid camper and fisherman.  She held a state record for the largest striper fish.   Phyllis was a great cook and shared many meals with her family that she loved dearly, especially her grandbabies.   She was very proud of all her family and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her three daughters, Teri Gilmore of Hot Springs, Shari Curtis of Hot Springs and Melissa Buckles of Maumelle; her son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Heather Geeo of Hot Springs; her sister, Brenda Carter; nine grandchildren, Justin and Casey Gilmore, B. J. Gilmore, Jani Degrasse, Chad Veazey, Kacie and Kevin Stephens, Michael and Ashley Kincannon, StarLynn and Nick Stacey, Gaven Raymond and Austin Geeo; 25 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 5, 2022, with Pastor Matt Stevenson officiating in the Smith Family Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs.

Interment will be in the Elmwood Cemetery, Morrilton.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday evening at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be her son, grandsons and close loved one, Chuck Veazey.

Honorary pallbearers are B.J. Gilmore and Chad Veazey.
