Polly Evans

Polly Evans, a beloved member of her community and a cherished family matriarch, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024, at the age of 81. Born on November 1, 1942, Polly lived a rich life that touched many hearts.

Polly spent her early years attending Nashville High School, where she fostered friendships that would last a lifetime. She dedicated fifteen years of her professional career to Cracker Barrel, where her warm spirit and dedication to service left a lasting impression on many patrons and colleagues alike. Her commitment to her work was a reflection of her character, exemplifying kindness and sincerity in all she did. 

In her personal life, Polly was a devoted mother and grandmother. She leaves behind her loving daughters, Diane Tabler, and  Anita and John Work; Polly is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Polly Leanne and Pat featherston, Ashlie Scott and husband Freice, Amanda Narvaez and fiancé Michael Boyd, and Bradley Patrick Martin; she also leaves behind her brother, Felix Woodruff; and one special neice Paula McDaniel; her many great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy and laughter, as well as extended family members and a host of friends.

Polly is preceded in death by her parents, Pauline Woodruff and Hugh Woodruff; her infant daughter, Telly; her brother, Doug Woodruff; her sister, Linda McDaniel; and her husband, Milton Roth. Each of these individuals held a special place in her heart, and their memories continued to inspire her throughout her life.

Her presence will be deeply missed by her family who loved her dearly.

A visitation to honor Polly Evans will be held on August 29, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM, all taking place at Smith Family Funeral Home in Hot Springs, Arkansas. There will be an interment to follow at Restland Memorial Park Cemetery near Nashville, AR. at 2:30 PM. The family invites friends and loved ones to join in remembering Polly's remarkable spirit and legacy.
