Polly Palmer, age 91, of Amity, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021.
She was born on January 17, 1929 in Corona, Alabama, the daughter of Jerry Files and Cora Hale Files. On January 14, 1950, she was married to Carl Palmer who preceded her in death on November 30, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jerry Palmer; two brothers, Paul Files and Mack Files; and her sister, Libby Hancock.
She was a member of the Amity Second Baptist Church and homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, quilting camping and loved her pets.
She is survived by six children and their spouses, Beverly Fletcher of Arkadelphia, Kathy Benedict of Hot Springs, Patty and Johnny Gould of Rosboro, Jackie and Brad Harrelson of Pearcy, Dean and Pam Palmer of Arkadelphia and Terry and Corina Palmer of Arkadelphia; twelve grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM, Sunday, January 10, 2021, in the Alpine Cemetery with Bro. Dennis Anderson officiating.
Pallbearers will be John Fletcher, Bryan Fletcher, Justin Palmer, Jason Palmer, Lance Benedict, Jeremy Gould, Anthony Whittington and C. J. Palmer.
